My friend Susan is the most inspiring person I’ve ever met. She has such a big heart and wants to do whatever she can for anyone in need. Currently she has a team of high school students in the flood-stricken portions of Southern West Virginia aiding those affected by the massive flooding from June 23, 2016. My daughter is among those that Susan took down with her.
Susan’s caring and compassionate manner, always wanting to help in whatever way possible, inspires me to want to be a better person. I know my daughter is in good hands with Susan and is learning a great deal, not only about the relief efforts down there but about herself as a human. I thank Susan for guiding my daughter and inspiring her to want to help wherever and whenever she can.
She is the co-director of the Keller Williams Race for Kids Health 5 and 10K, and is active in our community, working as a mentor for the elementary school children, volunteering with the high school band booster organization as well as helping with her daughters’ school sports and activities. She has coached my daughter’s soccer team and her kind and generous heart compels others to want to do good.
She recently embarked on a 100 mile race to raise money for the water crisis in Flint, Michigan and has participated in the Avon 3 day walk for Breast Cancer. I could go on and on about Susan but there is only so much space. Suffice it to say, she is an inspiration to everyone she meets and I don’t know anyone with a bigger heart than she.
