Remember when our good friend Forrest Gump inspired moviegoers everywhere when he ran across the United States?
Barclay Oudersluys is a 23-year-old man from Michigan, who has been running across the United States since May 9th after being inspired by Forrest Gump. He aptly named this journey, which spans across 14 states and 3,150 miles, “Project Gump”. Oudersluys is hoping to raise $10,000 for the Hall Steps Foundation, a foundation that fights global poverty. He claims that this money will be put towards building a well in Mozambique.
Barclay Oudersluys’ journey is set to end on August 16th. Let’s send good vibes while Oudersluys finishes his journey!
Like we say here at Life is Good, “Not all who wander are lost”.
UPDATE: He’s done it! Congratulations to Barclay Oudersluys for completing his journey and raising nearly $12,000!
