The Power of a Snow Day



Snow days with our mother Joan were always a special treat.  Most parents probably worried about safety or the traffic reports, but not our mom.  She’d come flying into our room more excited than any of the kids: “School is canceled today!  Yippeeee!!!” And then she’d suit up with us and go sledding.  She knew a snow day was like Christmas for us, and she might as well have been Santa.
